Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Alexandra was the sole daughter of Romanian actor Valentin Platareu. at the age of sixteen, she had secured a number of TV roles which included the leading role in the film Downfall Youth without Youth Control. Following her highly acclaimed performance in the TV movie Der Tunnel, Alexandra went on to play other noteworthy parts, including Adolf Hitler's secretary, Traudljunge, in Downfall. This film received nominations for an Oscar and received critical and commercial success. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra was associated with numerous noteworthy projects, both in the United States as well as internationally. These projects included British biographical feature Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. She was also on the jury of the Transylvania International Film Festival, and at Cannes Film Festival.
