Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania and is now an actor from Romania and Germany. Her most famous films are Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. The only child of Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her professional career in the show business from a young age. When she turned 16years old, Alexandra was able to land prominent roles in a variety of television dramas. Her critically acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge from the commercially and critically popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader as well as Der Baader Meinhof Komplex were both nominated for Oscars. In the past, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of important international and national productions. Some of these comprise British biographical film Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she was a member of both The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
